Chrissie Eve Thursday Ride 24/12 MOJOS MUNDARING

Post by pspencer »

Stop dreaming about that new BMW that Santa definitely will not deliver to you and join us for an Eve coffee before the BIG day. Leaving Shell Ascot 7:45 to leave Mojos 8:45ish to beat some of the heat. Heat bah keep moving is the trick.3

Damn, You have broken my heart Pete, Just as I was picturing a brand new Rninety under the Christmas tree!! Bah Humbug!!

I may come up for a coffee but have visitors for lunch so no ride for me tomorrow.

PS: Remind me to tell you about what lovely young Kelly from the Cola Cafe gave me for Christmas 8)

Of rugged mountain ranges, of droughts and flooding rains.
I love her far horizons, I love her jeweled sea.
Her beauty and her terror, the wide brown land for me."

With Mojos closed “ Shut Happens” it was round the corner into The Artisan Bakery Cafe Mundaring, which turned out OK. Nurzo attended with Son in Law and Grandson, Swampy made a guest appearance, Wes, Ross, Eddy, John W and Peter beat the heat. But it was the latter 3 that headed through Mundaring Weir and Armadale to get to the B Shed in Freo, with the temp a pleasant 38.5. A quick catch up with some familiar and new faces, a cooling OJ and head south along the coast to Miami Bakery Falcon to have some lunch and catch up with John’s brother Matt. Now 40 as forecast, but it did not feel that hot with a pleasant breeze.
The team broke apart after lunch and I headed south around the Estuary and back to Pinjarra now hitting 41.5.
Back home at 3:30, with 330 kms done. High temp figures but did not feel that hot. Thanks Eddy and John for a pleasant ride to finish off 2020 for me. Down South next week, kiddies will have to do their own thing
