I'm without a bike now as the new owner picked it up on Monday so it's only 44 km from where I'm living in Karrinyup and if I start walking and leave at 10 p.m. the night before I should get there on time to have a cup of coffee with you all.

Her beauty and her terror, the wide brown land for me."

Re: Thursday Ride June 3 MOJOS MUNDARING
Wow what a record setting number of riders turned up at Mojos on a chilly, but fine, Thursday morning. Brian 5 and I were at Gloria Jeans Ascot when a familiar RT arrived with Bozo ready for a Mojos coffee. So off the 3 of us we went up into the clouds of the Darling Range, lowest temperature of 5 degrees, magic riding. Arrived at Mojos to find Nick, Sophie, Wes, Vic, Noel, Dave enjoying food and drinks with Chris, Swampy, Robbie, Ross, Goldie, Bill and DFS arriving shortly afterwards. That’s a total of 16 well done everyone. With Dave, Noel and Bozo not joining us on the ride it was a long line of 13 that headed through Parkerville, John Forrest National Park, Swan View and Millendon onto the GNH and the very green Chittering Valley. Chris and Vic left before we hit Julimar which soon had the remaining 11 of us into Toodyay for an early lunch at the CC Cafe. With Sophie having a birthday on the 4th it was celebration time at the lunch.
With the high number of riders leaving Mojos I had decided after a few corners that Cornerman System was required. When you are leading it is very hard to see clearly more than about 6 to 8 riders behind you and therefore to ensure no one is lost the Cornerman System gives all riders, especially me as lead, confidence that they are following the lead rider. So some discussion occurred over lunch at CC Cafe about the System. Thankfully all agreed that with so many riders it was the only way to go.
After lunch with Sophie, Wes and Swampy heading directly back to Perth it left 8 of us taking the scenic Katrine Rd to Northam and the GSH into York for a fuel up. Nick, Bill and Robbie headed for Perth, leaving 5 to take the Top Beverley Rd to Beverley. At a relief stop, mention was made of a coffee break at Beverley, but somehow that turned into stop at the Hotel Beverley for a cold ale, with DFS educating us about ag machinery we had passed. The group disassembled again with 3 of us gliding along the Talbots and through Mundaring and onto home.
So a fantastic turn out at Mojos and a great days riding. Thanks to Swampy, Ross and B5 for TEC duties.
