Weathering Sunday

Post by Bozo »

The motorcycle boot was a scarce commodity at today's breakfast at Catalano's but it did not stop Raider from bringing his R18. The group were amused by speeding drivers being regularly stopped by motorcycle police. Guy put in a brief appearance before heading to Bullsbrook on his fully tuned airhead.

Three riders headed to Sir John Forrest National Park to start another search for orchids. DFS, Paul and Bozo were reminded of the weather forecast when they rained on near the airport. Fortunately it dried as we walked through Sir John Forrest National Park with Greenhead Orchids, Dryandra, Hardenbergia, Leschenaultia and Sundews emerging.

We startled two kangaroos that decided to jump in front of the group before we headed to the Lakes and on to Talbot West Road where another stop added Donkey Orchids to the list.

Passing through a York cycling event we stopped at an impressive crop of Canola.

A run through a packed York to Spencer's Brook and to Bakers Hill via Trimmer Road for a pie in the sun. The rain bucketed down as we headed to Mundaring.

Still a little early for the local wildflowers but great to get out in the stunning countryside. Thanks to DFS for running as tail end Charlie.
