Gravity Discovery Centre Visit Wednesday February 2

A club visit has been arranged to the Gravity Discovery Centre in Military Road near Gingin on Wednesday night February 2, 2022.

The visit will use the Gravity Discovery Centre telescopes ( see https://www.gravitycentre.com.au/observatory/ )

The cost will be $40 including a meal. This is a heavily discounted price as the individual entry for a Senior without a meal is $42,

A meeting point north of Perth will be arranged to get to the Discovery Centre at 6:30 pm to have a meal and to tour the Gravity Centre exhibits.

The visit to the observatory will run from 7:30pm to 9:30pm.

An event will be put up on the club website as registrations are essential.

Event has been setup on club website, to allow registrations, no payment required for registration.

Attendees pay on the night.

An Update on the visit to the Gravity Centre on Wednesday February 2:

Ride up will leave from the car park opposite Sistas at Burns Beach at 5:15 pm. Sista's is open until 5:00pm so if you want a coffee you will need to arrive early. There is a park next to the Burns Beach carpark with shade and toilet facilities but no fuel. The ride will hug the coast up to Two Rocks and then cut back to the Indian Ocean Highway.

Attendees will need to have proof of being double vaccinated.

Meal options are fish and chips and salad, lasagne chips and salad or vegetarian options (nachos, panini). Meals come with a soft drink and are included in the $42 entry. The cafe will be open but other orders (coffee, steak sandwiches etc but will need to be paid for).

Ride update:
The ride from Sistas at Burns Beach will leave at 5:15 pm. Regather points will be the Atlantis School car park on the way out of Two Rocks and the parking area just past the intersection of Military Road and Indian Ocean Highway.
Booking Update
31 persons have booked to come (excluding Guy and Paul who can no longer attend) and 17 meal orders have been placed with the Gravity Discovery Centre up until now. Please advise the GDC of your meal choice if you have not already done so.
