Thursday Ride June 16 MOJOS MUNDARING

Forecast for Thursday is the best this week, with some showers in the South West, so let’s go North East Standard arrangement leaving Gloria Jeans at 7:45am to glide up to Mojos Mundaring for a 9:15am ish departure

B/5 led Bozo and Peter Bee up through the Darling Ranges to Mojos on one of his more direct routes. Noel, Robbie, Anthony and Bill were already there with DSF, EJ and Goldie joining later.
Bozo and Noel were non starters as we left Mojos with our destination Goomalling. Our route was through Stoneville, Mt Helena, Chidlow, Wooroloo and Wundowie and down the GEH to Clackline and onto Spencer’s Brook. A short stop in Northam and straight up to Goomalling where the Lot 36 Cafe was our target.
Our lunch in the sunshine out the back was fantastic with the warming sun and great food and drinks. The world problems were of course solved and local bird life identified.
The return ride was the normal chaos with people generally heading for Toodyay and then doing there own thing.

I was feeling the aftereffects of a COVID booster and didn't get going until mid-morning when I headed off to Toodyay via Chittering and Julimar Rds in some vague hope of catching up with you since you'd mentioned heading north east, or perhaps Swampy. The Cola Cafe was closed with a family emergency, so the bakery it was for a very nice pie.

It was a lovely day for a ride, nice temp and little wind.
