Goin to the Bakery to get some pies

Post by Bozo »

An interesting morning at Catalano's with a good mix of historic and current motorcycles. A 1948 BSA with a period sidecar dropped in.

Six riders, Attila, Damian, Rhonda, Brian/5, Dave and Bozo persevered with putting the drizzle behind us as we toured past the airport and up the "middle run" through the Helena Valley to Mundaring. The countryside was looking magnificent with iridescent canola stretching as far as the eye could see. Talbot West Road showed the signs of heavy rain as we motored on to the Top Beverley Road and into a very busy York. The Trimmer Road alternative was taken after we passed through Spencers Brook. Bakers Hill was quiet but well stocked with pies as we talked about the upcoming TS Safari in Tasmania and wet weather gear (a number of the riders thought the ride was a cruise and came with a range of liners - goretex and bin).

The group split up at Wundowie after the run down Coates Road and the ride ended at Mundaring. Thanks to Dave and Brian/5 for running as tail end Charlies.
