Well Swampy, personally I believe you organised a fantastic weekend away. Yes, a shame that the numbers were so low but a great time away it was. I didn't have any problem with the noise, probably making a bit of it myself. Thanks again buddy

Thanks, Mark for your kind comments, Yes I agree with you that Saturday afternoon/evening in Nannup was great with a lot friendships being renewed with club members we don't normally see making the pilgrimage to a lovely little town!!
Of this, I have no complaints or issues and the evening went well but I have to admit I was a little disappointed that Lefty left his guitar and amplifier at home as I was looking forward to some beers and ballads with him!!
Also, you did a great job of leading the ride which took us over some new and exciting back roads to our destination. Thank you for stepping up at such short notice!!
Were you in town on Saturday night after Dinner?? All I can say mate is that you must have found a new set of decent earmuffs to muffle the din so well.
I think that some of the guys around my table were also curious as to how you came by them so quickly
It was the cause of much discussion amongst your mates!
Numbers for the ride were down yes, and disappointing. Yes, it was seeing as so many had bothered to register their names!!
However, in retrospect, I guess maybe we have overdone the trips to Nannup and maybe we should be looking at an alternate venue as a destination for an Annual Run.
It's for this reason mainly that I have decided to hand over the reins to someone else who can come up with some fresh ideas as I personally think these weekends away from suburbia with good mates on bikes are something to look forward to now and again and it's also good for one's soul
My apologies for yesterday's rant, Put it down to a grumpy old guy, tired after a full weekend of riding and socializing airing his thoughts!!
This is a great club and I am very happy and proud to be a member of it. It has given me a lot of joy and laughs over the years and I have made many good friends as a result!!
Thank you to our President and the committee for allowing me to continue to contribute to this forum!
Regards
Swampy
PS: Remind me I have your bottle of Kirup Syrup in my top box Mark!!

All good mate. The weekend was a great success. I was in town after dinner, dancing, drinking and getting muffed. Will discuss further at face level. Thanks for minding the syrup

Thanks for all your efforts in making NANNUP No5 happen. Coming from a different direction I didn't get to enjoy Mark's tour but nevertheless enjoyed punting the K1600GT through the Southwest and catching up with you all again. I left it too late to book a room so ended up in my tent in the caravan park, away from the noisy pub! Look forward to seeing you out on the road (or at breakfast) again soon.
