B/5 led David, Bozo, Anthony and I upto Mojos to join Chris (PD) with Bec and Bill. The riding team of B/5, Bill, Anthony and David went along with the idea of lunch at the Red Vault Cafe in Beverley with me leading so that was that.
Through Stoneville, Mt Helena, Chidlow, Wooroloo, GEH, Inkpen, Yarra and our favourite Talbots with Waterhatch bringing us into Beverley. Highlight on Waterhatch was a close encounter for me and David with a moderate size kangaroo. Certainly got our attention!!! Must like blue RT’s. Fortunately our time was not up so no contact.
Gave us something to discuss at lunch.
Great lunch with cloudy sky and low twenties - ideal.
The preferred route back was Top Beverley with Bill and Anthony high tailing it down the Great Southern and the three of us motoring through York to Spencers Brook, GEH and essentially a reverse of the morning easterly ride.
Maximum temperature 29 degrees on the sand plain and approximately 300kms done. Great weather, great company and exemplary TEC duty by B/5.
