Re: Thursday February 29 MOJOS MUNDARING
Where's the ride report ya slackers. You'll have to put up with this one instead.
Swampy & I had a very relaxing ride in the cool air and calm wind conditions of early morning. Departing Mundaring at 8:00am to The Lakes, Great Southern Hwy to York, Northam, Katrine Rd to Toodyay.
A coffee and a hedgehog was the go, too early for pies. I do like a good hedgehog and this one was very good, nice and chocolatey. We had a good chat with Swampy's mates, saw the huge mastiff whose name is Bronson (is that right?) and then saw the tiny little black-and-white toy dog that we've commented on in the past. Very cute.
River Rd and Lovers Lane led the return, turned LEFT (unexpected: shock and horror) onto Toodyay Rd, Salt Valley, Fernie, Toodyay Rd again, Transport Inspectors at the bay on top of the hill descent (they pointed at me and Swampy and the truck behind, we ignored their presumption and continued on), back to Perth. Getting hot now, 34°, glad to be home at a reasonable hour, about 12-ish.
Good day out. Did you guys do anything or just gas bag at Mojo's?

Well written Nannup Nick, Great report but did you not notice the Mojo group passing in the opposite direction on River Road??
Terrific to be back on the bike in some cooler weather traveling some good roads in good company, Thanks Nick!

Of rugged mountain ranges, of droughts and flooding rains.
I love her far horizons, I love her jeweled sea.
Her beauty and her terror, the wide brown land for me."
