Re: Thursday August 22 MOJOS MUNDARING
The winter rain was hovering around us as B/5 led Lefty, David and me on the Clayton Rd route to Mojos. Mick, Nurzo , Steve and Navigator Nick joined us at Mojos to plan a ride. With the threat of further precipitation expected a shorter ride to Goomalling seemed appropriate.
Nurzo and Lefty had prior engagements so it was a happy group of 6 that headed off with B/5 leading through Stoneville. Unfortunately in Chidlow the group parted ways but prior nomination of lost points brought the team back together at the stop point on Katrine Rd.
The route from there was Irishtown, Haddrill Rd and the Toodyay to Goomalling Rd to glide into the Lot 39 Café for a very pleasant lunch out the back with some sunshine and some rain as expected. The route back was straightforward bypassing Northam and stopping at Sawyers Valley to part our ways. Unfortunately B/5’s GS failed to proceed with the starter not engaging so the services of the RAC were required to get the GS home.
Thanks to B/5 for leading us and to all for another great ride apart from B/5’s GS dummy spit.
