Thursday August 29 MOJOS MUNDARING

Post by pspencer »

Some precipitation forecast as expected with the last remains of Winter. Leaving Ascot Gloria Jeans at 7:30am to ride to Mojos Mundaring for a 9:15am ish departure. Can I ask all participants to put their thinking caps on re destination for the day and of course always looking for new lead riders.

Yes some precipitation occurred but only passing light short showers the whole day. B/5 and David joined me for the standard route to Mojos where Nurzo was enjoying his own company. Navigator Nick and Fiery Ross joined us later.
Nurzo had other plans for the day so it was 5 of us who set off to ride to the Toodyay Bakery in a convoluted fashion. Through Stoneville, Mt Helena and Chidlow before taking Bailey Rd to get us to Berry, Clenton and O’Brien Rds, through Brigadoon and down the escarpment to the GNH. B/5 and Navigator Nick left the team as we headed to Bullsbrook. The Chittering Valley was so green with all water courses overflowing as we proceeded to Julimar Rd and our run to Toodyay.
The Bakery was as usual busy but we grabbed an outdoor table on the footpath and consumed the tasty goodies.
River Rd and Lovers Lane was selected to return home with fortunately only 50mm of water flowing over the concrete causeway on Lovers Lane.
Ross parted company in Parkerville and left David and I to head for home on the GEH.
Thanks to all for your company and special thanks to David for superb TEC duties.

Sounds like you all had a good day out. Toodjay Bakery is a great spot for food and coffee. A great ride report as usual Mr Bee, thank you.
