A small group (5) of us are heading for a warmer climate; destination Gibb River Road in the Kimberley Region of Western Australia…but, there is a catch! We are going via Central Australia and the Tanami Desert. We depart on Wednesday morning from The Lakes. We expect the trip to take about three weeks.

In this Episode, the group lose one of their own after a catastrophic breakdown, a failed Output Shaft Seal on a DRZ400. His ride is over. The remainder are then forced to negotiate the Great Central Road, part of Australia's Longest Shortcut (the Outback Way), which has been destroyed by heavy unseasonal rainfall. Nothing is going right for this mob!

In this Episode, the group continue heading Eastwards toward Central Australia and Uluru (Ayers Rock) for essential resupply before heading to Kings Canyon, Australia's version of the Grand Canyon. Along the way, they cook one of the Animals that make up part of the Australian Coat of Arms over open coals. How Aussie is that!

In this Episode, the group continue heading further Outback into the Bad Lands of the Northern Territory. Resupply becomes more and more difficult with no gaurentee of coming out at the other end in one piece. They commence their journey on the Tanami Track with the hope that the Desert doesn't consume them and leave them as nothing more than bleached bones in the Desert.

In this Episode, the group crawl over the abandoned Rabbit Flat Roadhouse; the source of many urban myths dating back years. They don't find anything unusual or out of the ordinary and so they continue onto the remote Aboriginal Community of Biluluna which is preparing for a funeral of a deceased Elder. It is then onto Kununurra where one of the group find themselves as first on scene for a serious motor vehicle accident.

In this Episode, the group arrive at the Kimberley town of Kununurra which is plagued by serious crime from out of control youth. They spend time making and mending all those things that have broken and even have the time to sight see. After taking some Drone footage from Ivanhoe Crossing, ól mate finds himself first on scene for a major accident. That sorted, they leave the following day and head for the Gibb River Road, one of the most spectacular Tourist Drives within all of Australia.

In this Episode, the group continue along the Gibb River Road; one of Australia's iconic Tourist Routes. It aint all plain sailing though. The Pentecost River is their first obstacle and they strike trouble crossing the Durack River bed. The Barnett River also provides some challenges.

The Group become Tourists for a day or two before commencing the long journey Southward toward their final destination; the safety and comfort of home in Perth. It isn't all plain sailing!
