From the Kiln to Kelmscott

Post by Bozo »

With a fiery forecast of 41 it was easy to believe we were proximate to a furnace.

Eight souls were prepared to risk being cooked by venturing on a shortened Sunday ride, through the brick kiln of the coastal plain suburbs. DFS, R90S Mark, Mick S, Wightman, Pete 2Volts, Navigator Nick, Peter Bee and Bozo sought out shady roads to percolate through the Bickley Valley with only a lazy hawk circling above. A loop past Churchmans Brook Dam had one rider convert his top box into a swimming pool. After a quick moisture removal from the electronic items we headed on the Cann Road loop to Canning Dam. A link down Chevin Road to Canning Mills Road almost got us to our air conditioned destination, Dome Kelmscott. A quick correction had us almost seamlessly parking up behind the cafe where after the customary calories the ride ended.

No motorcycles or riders overheated and the group were carefully ushered to their destination by tail end Charlie, Peter Bee.

A ten degree cooler day next Sunday may see a more distant destination.
