Late Ride Report for Last Sunday February 9

Post by pspencer »

With Bozo absent I had the pleasure of leading approx 18 riders from Vic Park. I suggested the CU Cafe@ Gingin and as usual the sheep followed
Standard route out to Orrong Rd, past the airport and GEH upto the John Forrest Nat Pk turnoff into Hovea and Parkerville. Took the curvy roads through the Parkerville Sub Division to emerge onto Toodyay Rd, taking Reen Rd to get us onto the smooth bends of Berry Rd, back onto Toodyay Rd and a left at Lovers Lane, onto River Rd and Julimar. The weather very pleasant with some clouds and max of 29 degrees.
Chittering Rd curves were enjoyed as usual to emerge onto the GNH and pass through Bindoon to the Gingin turnoff. Soon into the Café which was doing a steady business as usual. Numbers had dropped down to 10 approx at this stage but there was no encouragement required to keep the BS flowing and enjoy quality food and drinks.
Some riders slabbed back home down the Brand, others heading to the west, whilst a group stayed with me for a complete run through Chittering Valley and terminating the ride in Bullsbrook.
Thanks to all for excellent corner marking and special thanks to Mark for outstanding TEC duties.
Apologies for my slackness with late late post.
