Ten riders joined me as we left Harvey St and headed on the well ridden route of Orrong/Welshpool to the scarp and Canning Dam for our first stop. Cloudy conditions with very light patches of drizzle, hardly enough to get the riding gear wet. Approx 17 degrees.
Onto the Albany Hwy heading south and through Jarrahdale to Serpentine Dam onto the SWHwy with a stop at North Dandalup to stretch the limbs. Over the scarp to Dwellingup and damp Nanga Rds. Crossed SWHwy in Waroona and headed west to the Dorsett, Gibbings, Mayfair, Brownes, Old Bunbury, Paull combination to get us at the Midway Farm Shop at 12:15pm.
Whilst they were doing a steady trade we found enough space for our group to indulge in home made delicacies. Goldie brought us up to date with the latest news of the recovery of Dave in Thailand so we all send our best wishes for his speedy recovery.
As is common the group split after lunch with some taking the Forrest Hwy and others following me for the Pinjarra, Corio, Hopeland, Kargotich, Tonkin route.
Thanks to R69 Mark for excellent TEC duties and the group for tidy thoughtful riding.
Again thanks to B/5 for his route suggestion and I’ll put the thinking cap on for Thursday and next Sundays routes.
