14 riders sought not to be a goose and take advantage of a stunning day to visit the verdant green countryside. A circuitous course took then past Churchmans Brook Dam. On the way to Churchmans Brook Dam we passed a group of geese/ducks that were happy to make a barrier to any vehicles and the group had to slow to a near standstill to prevent them from injury. The Rails Crescent kangaroo mob was down to two as we headed to Byford to top up fuel and oil.
Eric, Multi Media Mark, Grant, Kim, Shiner Wright, Wightman, R90S Mark, Cameron, David P, Ralph, Rainer, Mick S, Peter Bee and Bozo continued on a run through the bridge construction at Jarrahdale before passing Serpentine Dam and a loop up Del Park Road. Taking the conveyor belt road and North Spur we descended to the Pinjarra Bakery.

A run home past Ravenswood, though the Corio Road corners and up Hopeland Road got us back to the congested city after getting caught in the Kargotich/Orton road closures.
Excellent corner marking by the group and exquisite tail end Charlie work by the globetrotting Peter Bee made it simple for the ride leader. The main problem was whether the Maned Geese encountered were ducks or geese. They are Australian wood ducks with goose like features and are identified as both geese and ducks.
