Post by pspencer »

I’m back. Forecast looks good so perhaps a longer ride to visit the ladies at Yerecoin. Leaving Gloria Jeans Ascot at 7:30am to wind our way to Mojos Mundaring for a 9:15am ish departure to the Wheat/Canola Belt. Bring the sunglasses.

For the record, just a quick summary of the ride.

A metric dozen left Gjs for the usual Helena Valley run up the hill, with one going direct via the Hwy.
With the fine weather, the numbers at Mojos was up to sixteen.
A baker’s dozen left with P/Bee leading a ride up to Yerecoin. Several peeled off along the way with a group ten arriving at Yerecoin to find several more already there.
The route up was across to the woops , then along the GNth Hwy to go up the newly opened road up through Yarrimbah heights to Chittering Valley. Then Bindoon, Mogumber, with a refuelling stop at New Norcia. The ride home for most was directly down through Toodyay.

The roadhouse at New Norcia has been upgraded. The café looks like another suitable destination for our rides.
