Sunday Ride December 7 Great Turnout

14 at Dome, at least 25 at Cats and 18 on the ride a great turnout on a perfect, mild Perth Summer day.
The Pinjarra Bakery in Waroona was the chosen destination so the team followed me on our standard route to Orrong Rd to head up the Scarp. Through Lesmurdie, Bickley, Pickering Brook, Canning Mills, Karragullen, Araluen arriving at the base of Canning Dam for a toilet break.
Onto the Albany Hwy east to the Jarrahdale turnoff and through Jarrahdale to Serpentine Dam, past the prison and down the Scarp to the SW Hwy to our second lost point of the Ampol Roadhouse in North Dandalup. Corner marking and 69S Marks input as TEC was working a treat with no lost or separated riders. Plenty of opportunities for the speedy riders in the group to blast past me and clear the cobwebs.
Back up the Scarp on Del Park Rd and through Dwellingup to join the Nangas for an easy, pleasurable run down to the Pinjarra Bakery in Waroona.
Whilst the Bakery was busy the numerous staff had us all quickly served and enjoying the delicacies. With the numbers down to about 14 we used tables inside and outside and enjoyed the usual banter.
Some riders took the direct SWH route home whilst the majority followed me onto the familiar Coronation, Dorsett, Gibbings, Mayfield, Fisherman’s Rds route to the Recreation Hall in Coolup. We terminated the ride here and said farewells. A quick ride into Pinjarra with the usual diversion of Patterson, Corio, Hopelands, Kargotich and Rowley soon had us onto the Tonkin for the run home.
The temperatures had been around mid to high twenties for most of the ride only hitting 32 degrees on the Tonkin. With no wind it was very pleasant riding.
