5 at GJ’s, 11 at Mojos and 6 on the ride. We took the customary tour of the back blocks of Parkerville but included a viewing of the “ Safari House “ with statues of African animals on one side of the house and Dinosaurs on the other side…..entertaining!
Glided through the curves of O’Brien, Clenton and Berry to arrive back onto Toodyay Rd to exit at Lovers Lane for a run along River and Julimar.
I had been monitoring temperatures on the run with 30 degrees as we left Mundaring rising to 39 on River Rd. So we shortened the planned ride and headed to the Toodyay Bakery for an early lunch and rehydration. Wesley and son Jeff were on the Balcony so we joined them in the shade with a warm breeze, quite pleasant. Surprisingly there were a few other motorcyclists around enjoying the warm weather.
Some needed to return to Perth so they took the direct route whilst the majority followed me on the scenic Racecourse, Sandplain, Salt Valley route onto Toodyay Rd and head home. Amazingly the temperature dropped down to 32 degrees as we descended the Scarp due to the Sea Breeze.
Thanks to all for coming out on such a hot day with special thanks to our visiting Domite, Fiery Ross who performed admirable TEC duties.
