March long weekend

Planning to head down towards Esperance/Hopetoun/Point Anne, Bremer Bay area for March long weekend. Some bitumen, but as march gravel as possible.

I am thinking about taking the Hyden Norseman Road in order to get to Esperance and then would like to do as much gravel from Esperance to Bremer Bay so any advice greatly received.

Leave first thing Saturday morning and getting back Monday late afternoon/early evening.

Bugger, my newly gravel accredited RT will be tucked away under the doona as we will be in NZ, otherwise I would have been keen to meet at points along the way. I will try to arrange a similar ride for later in the year, with a road route and dirt route and a day of rest in Hopetoun as the mid point.

A quick update on the trip down to the south coast on the March long weekend

Ben has been kind enough to put me in contact with Squily down at Esperance so the latest plan is to meet Squily for a coffee when we get down there and he will provide us with some maps and ideas for our travels west.

Looks like we have a group of three or four adventurous souls for our south coast trip. Great if more join us.
Leaving at 8.00am from the BP station on Welshpool Road Lesmurdie, just east of the t-junction with Crystal Brook Road on Saturday morning March 5th.
