"I'd love to go to Wandering along a winding track
I'd love to go to Wandering via Pingelly then Dwellingup back"
So sang soprano Paul at Catalanos today.
He was joined by a chorus of five who followed the winding track through Mills Road East to Brookton Highway, the York Williams Road and the North Wandering Road to Pingelly. The country had a tinge of green and there were interesting granite outcrops in the agrarian vistas.
A quick break at the Memory Lane Diner turned into a scramble for the remaining hot chunky meat pie. The winner, Tom, gloated over its gourmet qualities with gelatinous granules of gravy glistening on his grinning face whilst ignoring a guitar carrying gentleman's invitation to visit an adjoining shop.
A subsequent weave to Wandering almost had Astro making his mark on the feathered component of our coat of arms. Tom advised that BMW Australia would not be happy with an unauthorised use of a BMW logo impaled on an emu.
A pit stop at Bannister for 95 RON was followed by a breeze through Boddington to Dwellingup.
A packed cafe at Dwellingup was the scene for a serious discussion about the dimensional equivalence of steak and hamburger sandwiches. The challenges of non residents licensing motorbikes in Europe was followed by the surprise arrival of Beemr Dave.
Wes took his bat, ball and sat phone and went home via Pinjarra. The remaining chorus headed back to Perth along Del Park Road and South West Highway. Bozo managed to trap a wasp with his helmet but fortunately was able to safely stop, remove his helmet and flick it away it had flapped a few laps of his right ear.
Paul thanks for a well thought out Sunday ride and guys thanks for the good company and humour.
