Easter at Leeman

Post by 2volts »

Easter weekend, depart Good Friday 7:30AM from Farrells
Destination : Leeman
Sites : I have booked 5 tent sites, cost $10 per night per person. Extra sites available if needed.
Sites are on the oval in centre of town, plenty of room, good amenities apparently.
Fish market on the friday, so bring your frying pan. Good local community stuff happens in Leeman, so a relaxing weekend can be had. Potential BMWMCCWA fishing comp over the weekend too.

Plan to stay Fri night , Sat night. Potential rides to Dongara, wherever.

Pete,

Thanks for posting this.
DEPARTURE IS EASTER FRIDAY AT 7:30AM, not Saturday.
Plan is to stay Friday, Saturday nights, may stay Sunday night too but I don't have enough Brownie points left.

Route we plan to take includes inland trek on way up, through Moira, Carnemah, Eneabba, visit Lake Indoon, then on to Leeman.

Bring fishing gear if you have it, and/or snorkling gear.

Geoff,

Are all the roads you propose to take to Leeman suitable for road bikes; ie how much non sealed road riding is there if any?

Thanks,

Chris,

Just because I bought a GS doesn't mean that I'll be hunting for dirt roads!!! It is bitumen all the way except for perhaps the carpark at the oval (I checked google earth) and any unexpected roadworks. 8)
