bully1 wrote:Nice Swampy......If you are interested in life up that way in the 50 and 60's I have a great trilogy about a young fella from Collie that becomes one of the last true Kimberly packhorse stockmen.
Thanks for the TRILOGY Bully, I have just finished reading the third book.

Wonderful story about a remarkable man and I thoroughly enjoyed reading about our Nor west.

I have packed books on my bike to pass them on to KOO's tomorrow morning at Cat's.

Thanks once again

Swamps

Have you read "Too long in the Bush" by Len Beadell?

If not, I can bring a copy to breakfast tomorrow.

Well guy I would have thought it would have been riding skills
like how not to get bogged every where round a water crossing then falling off on the other side ... oh sorry was I not supposed to say that ?
And betting skills ... and picking up "cougers" now i'm letting the cat out of the bag.
cheers Phil

Hugh

It was Gary the Goat who got let out of the dual cab. Not a cat was let out of a bag, though Ahab was very secretive about what he was cooking with his chopped onion.

No cats were injured in the making of "Brown Bears go to Gassy Junction" only egos.

COMING ATTRACTIONS for those that made the run to Gascoyne Junction this year.

As it appears from some members comments that this may become an annual event,I have arranged for a local company to produce a limited amount of bike stickers to commemorate this years ride.

Still in the design stage at this time but if satisfactory I will have some made available for interested persons for minimum possible cost.

Great idea

What is the centrepiece of the artwork?

- a pannier esky
- a pirouetting Jamie
- a torn up betting ticket
- a dangling gear shift lever
- a bomber covered in mud
- a roll of gaffer tape
