Snaga wrote:Hi Guys, I'm waiting to hear if my leave is approved, but is there a meeting point for the departure on Friday? If so can someone let me know where it is and what time? I'll bring the 1150RT and would like to travel with the group if there is one, if not are there particular campspots along the way where you will stay?
I'm assuming camping is the order of the day; is that correct?
Is the plan to return Sunday or Monday? Or is it flexible?

G'day Tom

People tend to make their arrangements in small groups or even solo - not usual to find large groups. In addition to your posts here, it's probably best if you get down to Catalano's in Vic Pk on Sunday morns to sound out what people are planning. Be there by 7.30am-ish as some head off for Sun rides.

Don't give up if you can't join up with a group for the Perth departure. On the Friday you'll probably see others on the road or at servo's you can join. If nothing eventuates, then do your solo run to the 90 mile straight and camp the night there (see the pic in my earlier post for exact spot). Its a long day but try and get there before sunset. There'll be a fair size group there. You'll have company for the next days ride to Eucla. Socialise at Eucla to sort out group ride arrangements for the ride home.

Good luck

I love her far horizons, I love her jeweled sea.
Her beauty and her terror, the wide brown land for me."

CCM are planning to have the bike ready for Australia by early 2015, still sorting out a dealership to handle it, ADR's should not a problem.
Had a ride around the back lanes of Lancashire today with a few dirt tracks thrown in for good measure. Very light and nimble and seems to unleash a bit of hooliganism, loads of fun!
They are taking deposits now if you are interested Koos.

From what I've seen and read looks great. I'll keep a watching brief on it for the moment.

Enjoy your visit.

Please explain to me why you were riding at night ? It is a very easy 2 day ride there and back. I have reports of the bikes on the way back, Guy at Kellerberin and a few others ie Lefty and Goldy between Southern Cross and Coolgardie.
