G'Day Slackers,
At this stage we have a total of 4 riders attending...2 x R1200GS, 1 x F800GS and an AT. If you are thinking about attending the 2 meet up points at this stage are the Gull on Gnangara Road at 8am or the Dome at Mundaring at 8.30am on Sunday.
We are still a bit fuzzy on the actual route and destination but I'm sure it will be interesting none the less with a good mix of sealed and unsealed roads.

Absolute bummer that I saw the post to late as it sounds like a great trip. Unfortunately other plans came up that would not be any where near as interesting and enjoyable but have to be completed. Get your priorities right I hear you say and this will be addressed in the near future. Enjoy the ride everybody and ride safe. Cheers
Great weather and a great mix of roads. Covered about 1,600km of the Goldfields and Wheatbelt regions of WA. Left Perth on Sunday morning and traveled East to Bullfinch and headed North from there. Spent the first night near Diemals on the Lake Barlee to Youanmi Road. Second day saw us head to Sandstone (compulsory due to limited fuel range) and then onto Mt Magnet (not the most direct route but came across a 'Road Closed' sign which complicated things a little) and spent the second night near Lake Mongers. Third day we returned to Perth via Perenjori, Carnamah, Cataby and Indian Ocean Drive.
The AT is ready for Desert Raid, my Final Drive doesn't leak oil anymore (yahoo buckeroo!!!) and Swampy's former bike got covered in red dust as it always should've been from the start. Thanks to Wilks and Snaga for their company and pro active navigation.
The days were glorious and the nights were clear and mild. The beers were cold and the fire was warm. Only saw a kazillion stars on both nights.

Yeah, not a cloud in the sky (except when we were riding into the sun one arvo... perfect timing). Get weather like that in 10 days time Desert Raid and I might take this caper up.
