Very impressive. The videos do not show how eroded the floodways were beneath the muddy water. There were also quite large rocks shifted by the floodwaters. It must have been interesting riding through not knowing what your front wheel was going to do.
Snake Hill had lots of gullies and scree as shown in your video when I went up it. I can imagine how your bike would have moved around on Tourance tyres in the wet.

The bike is certainly living up to its "Adventure" moniker. 
Swampy, a snorkel and wetsuit would've been handy as I did drop the bike at one stage right in the middle of one those floodways and I went for a bit of a swim. Fortunately it fell on the left side so avoided getting water into the air intake. Unfortunately I didn't have the video going as it was an impressive splashdown. Which reminds me, I have to fashion a snorkel for the bike when I go up to the top of WA next month.
Bozo, I didn't even think about what was under the water. The front tyre was slipping and sliding around so much on the slick gravel that I thought it was just doing the same through the water crossings. Didn't realise there were large rocks under there
. I've now got 50:50 tyres on so looking forward to doing more off-road riding...with a little bit more confidence.

Well done on the ride and video Ariel.
If you'd like to hear any tips or experiences from other club members regarding their water crossings on a R1200GS, can I suggest you start a separate thread under the Technical sub forum. I've also read where some owners in the USA have done home made snorkels for their GS's.

A popular stop in the days of horse and cart between Bullfinch and Southern Cross was a formation known as Halfway Rocks.
It was made more popular by the sale of cheap "sly grog" at Halfway Rocks for the miners travelling between the two gold mining towns.
