There were numerous petroglyphs at and around Mount Augustus. These are images pecked into the rock with other rocks.

The petroglyph in the centre of the photo with concentric circles means water...this was at a gnamma hole.

Mount Gould is between Landor and Meekatharra. The Police Station was built in 1888 funded by pastoralists who wanted sheep stealing controlled.

Ran into the Black Dog Ride Group at Mount Magnet...the side car is set up to make coffees!

Mount Magnet is an interesting place to stay.

There is a good gravel Tourist Drive that takes you to the site of Lennonville and then through breakaway country back to the town. It is easiest to find by going to the Granites just north of Mount Magnet and then turning off at the Lennonville sign

Everyone was talking about Wreath Flowers saying it had been the best season ever for them at Pindar.

The Wreath Flowers are very well signed until you get to the site. If I had not known that there were hundreds of them in a row I could have easily missed the main display on the Pindar - Beringarra Road as you are deviated onto a side road for parking.

Caught up with JonO and Paul at the Mingenew Bakery for a coffee and a pie.

Only a spritz of rain on the way home via another Bakery at Bindoon.

Great trip with 700 kms of gravel and 1800 kms of bitumen through all sorts of stunning wildflower displays.

Yalgoo is a sleepy little town between Mount Magnet and Mullewa.

Nothing was open when I passed through at 8:30 am on Monday morning (other than the primary school).

It has an intriguing Hawes built church named Saint Hyacinth

Leony and are also back from Broome, after picking up the van. good, uneventful ride down. We arrived at Auski township, midway between PH and
Newman, at dusk. This must rate as the piles of the earth. A dusty, truckie stop with $150 dongas and $1.60/l fuel. Just 17kms south, in one of those beautiful red gorges, we found a brilliant camp spot, Arthur Toglioni lookout, or similar. 17kms south of Auski

The Queen of the Murchison must rate as one of Australia's most underrated hotels. For just $12o you get a tennis court sized room in the old "Capitol Hotel" This place comes with all the props you'd expect, like ghosts on the stairwells, 20 or so vintage motorcycles parked in the main lounge, a haunted parlour, a double decker bus and a Ford Galaxy parked in the back. If you have not been here, you are the worse off for it. Carla said that we should organise a club ride there.

Sounds like a good idea John.

Did Carla indicate how many they could accommodate?
