I have attended the "Border Run" for the last 2 x years running. This year I won't be attending however I did pay for my commerative badge for the 2012 run last year which can't be picked up until this year.

I would be very gratefull if someone traveling too the border would be prepared to pick up my badge for me please?......................And Please don't ask "How Grateful" please

Thank You Swampy

If you have the time to do a slower trip home then Fraser Range is a top place to stay , Reklaw and I camped there last year on the way home.
what was there to do at Fraser range and see when you were there bully 1 because on my way to the border i am looking at a place to camp for the night with out drop kick truckies hitting the air horns as they go by almost giving me a heart attack, some where quite and peaceful this year.
are we as a group having a BBQ on saturday or sunday? at the BP border? this year .

I though I invite the little lady for a little ride,   to her system when we end up in South Australia.

I am planning to leave 1st August 2013 thursday perth-coolgardie- norseman- some where on the side of the road heading to the border, each year on the north side of the road I see a group of motor bike riders camping in a big group with massive camp fire going some were in the middle of the 157 klm straight having a good old piss up and trying to tame this massive bomb fire they have made, any one knows who they are?

kind regards from richard

that campsite is right at the 90 mile straight sign, that's where most of us will be Friday night.

Fraser range do a tour of the station, most afternoons, they have one of the best campkitchens that I've ever seen.

As you prepare for this year's Border Run (The Meeting), put next year's (2014) in your diary as well.
Nine years ago, several of us turned 50 around the same time as the Border run, so we had a combined Birthday Party at the Border
(with cake and beer and stuff !)
A few of us have discussed the same for next year, as we will be turning 60. (Strange how that works out !!)

I will be attending that one. I may even transport the cake in my trailer. Unless Isabelle wants to bring one?

Enjoy this one, stay safe, and see you there next year.

Cheers

Anyway, back to the Border Run....

......Maybe O.B. you can get in on some slipstreaming and get the Happy Bike up over the magic "tonne"...

Sorry to disappoint you sprocket, happy bike not going. Green machine is, and, will, definitely get over the magic tonne.
Are you talking kph or mph sprocket. Doesn't matter I will be sticking to the speed limit. :x :x :x

plenty of time for a crossword and write your memoirs then, are you allowed to have a port around the campfire or are you leaving your testes at home.

Have a great ride out and back, I head to see McFarkle tomorrow, we will make our way westward to meet Brian/5 as he heads eastward after the border, then guide him back to Victoria.
Looking forward to hearing the stories and seeing a few pictures.

Guy the route that I'm taking would be a piece of piss for you, there is a harley out on the road tonight that we'll catch tomorrow.

The Hyden- Norseman rd is in better condition than the Kwinana fwy

We are leaving my place at 6 heading out on the Brookton hwy, quick top up at Corrigin and smoko at Hyden, next stop the breakaways then on to Norseman, hope to be at the 90 mile straight campsite by 4.30 for a cleansing ale.
