It's raining out there. They'll be sitting it out, just like Steve & I did in April on the Transcon. Way too early for water supply to be an issue - they'll be cursing having too much of it falling on the track. He has the SOS button on his Spot if he feels it is warranted.

EDIT.
If it's mechanical (or anything else of non- personal/physical concern), one of the group can head off for Tjuk for help when conditions allow.

I agree with the comments made by Wilks and Edit in the 8:10 pm 14/8 entry.

The rain came down on Monday between Mt Magnet and Sandstone - then most of the way to Perth. It was horrible at best. Very windy too. Not good for riding on slippery dirt roads. Steve is highly experienced and responsible and will carefully consider his options. The group will discuss the options together and jointly arrive at their decision. I expect Wilks is entirely correct. Particularly given the fact he and Steve have ridden together over some time. They are likely to sit tight until the sloppyness dries out a little. The group has atleast Steve's and Robbo's spot frackers with SOS modes.

Steve mentioned on Sunday there were some not particularly nice sandy patches he observed whilst on four-wheel-drive tour on the track when he did a reconnaissance with the four wheel drive crew recently.

At the moment the weather isn't hot or hostile out there.

I like everyone will keep an eye onthe spot.

...The group has at least Steve's and Robbo's spot frackers with SOS modes.

My apologies to all for my mistake by assuming the groups return after observing Kot's "Spot" after his return a couple of days ago thus causing concern and debate among'st some people

It appears the group is back on track this morning by observing Steve's "Spot" earlier.

We (the three of us), have arrived safely at Laverton. Thanks for your interest in relation to OUR adventure. Go and find your own. Wait for the movie to be released.

For the record, track conditions were atrocious (deep, heavy sand,) which meant we used more water than expected and we decided to stop until water resupply was effected. To do otherwise would have unsafe and irresponsible. I'll fill in the gaps later. We expect to be back in Perth on Thursday.

Steve and I returned safely to Perth yesterday afternoon after an interesting and highly enjoyable trip.

Phil made his way to Perth via black top after leaving the group in Laverton.

Great ride and great company, Thanks.

Robbo.
