Gascoyne Trip - with Jono 996 View Video
Re: Gascoyne Cup - Gascoyne Junction August 23
Yes it was a top few days
Myself, Jono ,Phil , Pattrick and Guy took off from Perth to Mullewa to rendezvous with Mick .I think we travelled in the leading edge of the front all the way to Mullewa the wet weather gear definitely got a work out ,we rendezvoused with Mick in Mullewa and headed north on the dirt ,we broke camp about 70 km up the road after it was decided the impending storm a head may make things difficult ,we set up camp amongst the ever lastings got the fire going and a great night around the fire was had ,we awoke to light rain in the morning which had ceased by sunrise
Friday saw us on the road to Murchison ,the low cloud had burnt off by the time we arrived at Murchison ,only to be greeted with big signs on the bowsers no fuel ,luckily our forward scout Guy had arranged fuel ups out of the shire,s 44 gallon drums out back at there depot
After a sensational ride through a bit of mud and a few water crossing through varying conditions we arrived at Gasscoyne
What can be said ,good hot showers good food ,good entertainment and good old fashion country hostipallity
The ride back the way we came saw us spend our last night on the Grenough river north of Mullewa ,funny how you can ride down the same road at a different time of day and it seems like a new track
A big thanks to the brown and black bears for the company good times and laughs

Most problems can be solved with a suitable application of throttle!

What can I say a picture says a 1000 words
It was lunchtime at this crossing I was the last to arrive I like to ride out of everyone's dust every one had camera,s out to catch the crossing I took the centre line which just happens to be where the alge grows as the cars that usually cross ,there wheels stop the build up ,went down like a bag of spuds lesson learnt.
Yes Bully the camp site at the Grenough river was a cracker highly recommend

Jamie
You don't need a moon boot for a month for a damaged ego. Yours seemed to get over the injury very quickly to enjoy the races.
Enjoyed your brilliant sense of humour on the trip.
As Forrest Gump would say "pirouettes happen".

Rob
We went up through Coorow and Mingenew and there were smatterings of wildflowers there. The best display was around the Murchison River Bridge on the Highway.
Riding through Kalbarri was pretty impressive with the coastal heath being in fullbloom.
