I noticed the 800 looked pretty clean...about time you used it for what it was designed for. There is a relatively mild back way to York which may be a good introduction for the bike and give you a feel for the balance of the thing. I will be on a 1200GSA....there is a mix of riding coditions; pea gravel, firm sand base, a few minor hills (which should present no problem) and a little shallow loose sand. Having said that, all care taken, no responsability held.
