Put the date in your diary; start scanning the cook-books and get ready for the 4th Annual Camp Cook-off.
Saturday 22 September. The location is yet to be confirmed (usually within 2 hour ride from Perth).
Cook-off Rules
• All food ingredients & cooking equipment to be carried in on motorcycle
• Cooks to create a main meal – you probably need to make enough for yourself and a SMALL serving for judges’ tasting.
• You are required to create a main course only
• The meal must be created from ‘scratch’ i.e. no prior preparation such as marinating etc is to occur outside the camp site.
• Additional points for teaming it with the ‘right’ beverage
• The meal to be served to the judges table at 7:00 pm
What about the motorbikes?
Choose your own route to the event. There may be some creative prizes, so clock your mileage.
Non-riders very welcome – bring the family! Note, however, that all entrants to the cook-off must bring themselves and their gear by bike.
Need inspiration? Past entries have included:
- hangi
- roasted and stuffed pumpkin
- stir fry beef and veges cooked over an open fire
- fish & chips
- devilled sausages, potato chip omelette (inspires you not to want to eat!)

It is on again
I hear people are dusting off the recipe books and searching for the winning dish.
The pots are sizzling and the smoke is rising.
The word is out that a rock in the central wheat belt is the centre of attention for this years camp cook off.

Ripsnorter. Now, we have the Club's gazebo in our shed, so maybe Leony and Priscilla can bring it down with the van. John

I'm going to the Auto Classic arranged event on the morning of the camp cook-off. A couple, have been riding around the world for 11 years on BMWs. They are to give a "digital presentation" (worrying
) on their experience.
After the event we'll (presuming Toni will join me) ride off to the cook-off. If anyone wants to join me and support Auto Classic it would be great.

Greetings fellow camp cookers
The Auto Classic function has been moved to October, so get your shopping done early and head out, I will post a time and location later in the week for anyone wanting to tag along on the black top (only a short bit of good dirt road at the site), I anticipate meeting in Midvale as usual, time yet to be set.

Sorry Guys, you will have to tell your own poor jokes, and sing by yourselves. I am a non-starter for this one.
I hope to see some of you at Lake Dumbleyung the week after.
Cheers
Lefty
