Kokerbin Rock

Post by Cookie »

Hello fellow riders

I will be going to Kokerbin rock Saturday 24th November for an overnight camp, leaving Midland around lunchtime for a leisurely ride out, set up camp and explore the rock, returning home Sunday via Mount Stirling for more rock climbing and a few coffee stops along the way.

If you would like to join me send me a pm, or post here and I will pm finer details.

There may be others riding out early Sunday to join us for the return trip.
Regards

There could be a contingent riding out early Sunday morning to meet the campers at the rock, then return as a group.

Rumour has it the group will contain DFS and our mate Macfarkle.

get hold of DFS for details if you're interested

Hello fellow riders

Cookie is back online, as per Nevs post, I will be at Caltex Midvale 12.30 tomorrow, and heading off at 12.45 toward Kokerbin rock. Looking forward to the ride out via some back roads, set up camp, explore the rock and reserve.

I believe there is a growing group of riders planning to head out early Sunday (including McFarkle), to meet up with us and join us for the return trip. Talk to DFS if you want to tag along.

The route out and back will vary, dependent on weather conditions, you can make your own way to camp if you want to join us but can't fit my time slot.

Hi all,
for those intending to ride out with DFS to meet Cookie & Co tomorrow (Sunday), here are the RV details:
gathering for fuel at
The Caltex Garage
Great Eastern Highway at the bottom of Greenmount Hill on the Left Hand Side
Departing at 06:20 sharp.

With the intention of meeting Cookie & Co at their campsite and a good look around then following Cookie on a scenic return ride.

So go on, throw the leg over your Bavarian Beauty and come riding.

Thank you to all who made the effort to take a ride to Kokerbin over the weekend, we had a good run with the weather, mother nature was kind enough to let us set up camp before starting to rain, then putting on a thunder and lightning show.

After setting up camp and afternoon tea, we walked around the base of the rock and climbed to the top, very windy - but great views, well worth the effort.

There were a dozen for the overnight camp, John W and his mate Carl head off early morning to meet up with a Vintage club run, then 5 more members rode out from Perth this morning to meet us, Nigel and Ian went off to explore the rock, while 5 bikes and 1 car headed Northward to return to metro via Trayning. Lunch in a park at Dowerin, then onto see my mate at Clackline and home before 5pm.

A good time was had by all, looking forward to the next camping trip.
