PLAN YOUR RIDE... out now...

Post by spacey1 »

Greetings Beemers,

So, in response to repeated requests for a rides calendar, hop over to our club website and click on 'Plan your Ride'. Note, "Your Ride"...

Or to hasten the experience: http://www.bmwmccwa.asn.au/Ride-Planner.

I have added public holidays as long weekends, state school holidays, AGM, as many known events as I could scrape up from the last year, Dinners (Xmas and otherwise), and other rumours I hear around the traps. Local, State, National and International events are listed to cater to all tastes and perversions... oops, did I say 'perversions!'... that'll be because BMW riders are just weird  , check out their usernames on this forum, if you think I'm poorly informed... Some of us may even give riding in India and the USA a go, so throw those events in as well. A bike event while on an overseas holiday will sure break the monotony of pina coladas and palm trees. Hey, India Bike Week! Wot next... Intrepid Ken on a Hog

Public holidays are referenced from the WA Commerce website. Foundation Day is now called Western Australia Day.
WA State school holidays come from the WA Education department website.

May, June and October are currently a little empty... and these are some of our better riding months.

Take note that a lot of dates are TBA (To Be Advised) or tentative. Feel free to pick-up an event / ride, organise it, take the lead, plan a course or what-ever...

However, it does give you all something to plan around... so plan away, you wanted it 8)

Hell, and for you folks with fancy-arsed smartphones, you could even grab the RSS feed and stick it into your fav feed reader.

Jeezus, we're good... slow but good...

Now I invoke the right to change / alter / modify / withdraw anything I have said, if it means more beer on any night or day of the week 8)

And while you're out in our great Australian Outback enjoying our clear black skies, check out NASA's Space Weather website and subscribe to their newsletter to get all the goss about what's happening up there, so you don't miss a thing!

Jupiter and our Moon were pretty spectacular tonight (Feb 18), as noted on Space Weather. Would have been something else inland without the light pollution.

Jolly good job Nev

It looks like plenty of choices and the good weather hasn't even started yet.

Of rugged mountain ranges, of droughts and flooding rains.
I love her far horizons, I love her jeweled sea.
Her beauty and her terror, the wide brown land for me."
