On Sunday after Cats Coffee you are welcome to join me on completing half of the alphabet challenge picking up 12 bonus points for sequence and 1 bonus point for regions.
The route to visit 13 towns and places in sequence will be
Avon River (Walyunga Road)
Brigadoon
Childlow
Darlington
Equitus Gully (off O'Brian / Berry Road)
.....Coffee Break at the Coca Cola Cafe Toodyay
Frenches Siding (a couple of ks of good gravel)
Grass Valley
Harper Brook (near Toodyay)
Irishtown (Buckland Road)
Jennacubbine (a few hundred metres of good gravel)
Katrine
Lake Leschenaultia
Mundaring
A bit of messing around to get the sequence right but with the fine weather it should be a great ride.
Those that are keen could pick up more sequence points by heading back to Northam, stopping near Bakers Hill at Orchid Valley, Parkerville and then Quinns Rocks.

Good start Chris. Sure to be an enjoyable amble.....
I have now noticed that the suggestion that the towns be at least 100km [or 150 km] away from Perth did not make it into the rules....maybe next year. I don't think the idea was that it be knocked over on two morning rides. We may want to include the 100 / 150 km rule, size of towns [Grass Valley? Maybe more than a servo, teavern or a shed] and also extra points for the Regions further away or exclude your home region. Just my thoughts.

Getting the X and the Z will be a challenge and more than a morning ride.
But you are right that the rules can be developed over time.
If you make it too difficult you may not get participation.
Hopefully participants in the desert raid, border run etc will use them as an opportunity to partipate in both versions of the alphabet challenge.

I take that back. Grass Valley has 13 named streets, a few houses, tavern and the ubiquitous, to wheatbelt towns, "Wheat Bin road". Its looks and smells like a town, therfore it must be a town.
See I have already learnt somthing...from my desk, now I will have to go and see it.

Frenches Siding and Irishtown are pretty suspect on your definition.
Equitus Gully and Harper Brook would not even make your standard.
Hopefully you will not be assessing applications.

Bill
Australia will need more than dentistry to have a decent front row.
They seem to be getting Bruxism from the Welsh and only seem to be a veneer of the quality of past years.
