IT IS HAPPENING! Get out the cook books. Start polishing the cutlery; check the wine; plan your route.

Cook-off Rules
• All food ingredients & cooking equipment to be carried in on motorcycle
• Cooks to create a main meal – you probably need to make enough for yourself and a SMALL serving for judges’ tasting.
• You are required to create a main course only
• The meal must be created from ‘scratch’ i.e. no prior preparation such as marinating etc is to occur outside the camp site.
• Additional points for teaming it with the ‘right’ beverage
• The meal to be served to the judges table at 7:00 pm

What about the motorbikes?
Choose your own route to the event. There may be some creative prizes, so clock your mileage.

Non-riders very welcome – bring the family! Note, however, that all entrants to the cook-off must bring themselves and their gear by bike.

Anthony and Trish have selected a venue - out towards Quairading. Watch this space for news.

2013 CAMP COOK OFF LOCATION
Wamenusking Sports Club, Western Australia
LAT 32° 8'48.56"S
LONG 117°37'12.36"E

If you get to Corrigin you have gone to far, Phone reception is not available at the site so if you get lost you are on your own.
It is approximately 29KM from Quairading, near the turn off to Wamenusking East Road and Simpson Road
Small blue sign at the turn off to the sports club which is opposite the Phone exchange.
It is just off the Quairading Corrigin Road on the left, small sports club with basic facilities, shelter, basic kitchen (which you can not use for the camp cooking competition, its for breakfast and the people not in the camp cooking competition) BBQ, seats etc.
It is along the rabbit proof fence and has a small information stop about 3Km back towards Quairading complete with a few rabbit recipes for anyone who forgot their recipe.

PS don't go to Wamenusking as listed on the map or Google search as it is about 5km west of the sports club!

Wamenusking Sports Club charge $10 head for camping at the facility. Support regional sports clubs and bring the family and have a great night camping in the bush with some facilities.

At the meeting last night a motion was passed that the club would cover the $10 entry fee for paid up club members attending the Camp cook-off.
The paid up member should register their attendance so the club can get an idea as to numbers.
Friends and other non member swill be charged the $10 which goes to a good cause in that it supports rural sporting venues such as this one.
This is a must attend event with a great ride, fun activities great prizes and eye opening talent on display.

BTW this thread has been duplicated in the general section so put your names down in either thread we will work it out.
Thanks Anthony for pointing this out to me

Koos + Martina

BTW happy to pay the $10, it's so small. price of two coffees on a Sunday or a brekky. Keep the club funds for bigger events.
