Australia Day, and Labour Day Rides

I had planned a ride to Peaceful Bay on the Labour Day long weekend, to meet up with the Albany Vintage and Veteran Club, as per usual, but they aren't going to be there this year.
We could still go, if enough people are interested but you will need to let me know very soon so I can book the few remaining sites that are available.
Alternatively, we could join the Albany Crew in Bridgetown that weekend,(if there is camping available), and travel to Nannup for the Blues Festival on Sunday.
If someone wants to organise a ride to peaceful Bay for the Australia Day weekend, find out who is going , and get the sites booked As Soon As Possible.
Get your comments/replies in here, and/or see me at the Meeting on Monday
Cheers
Lefty

For the Australia Day weekend at Peaceful Bay, there are 4 to 5 sites (space for 8 to 15 people and bikes) $38 per couple, per night, minimum 3 nights booking
Unpowered sites at the "Drovers" area at the rear of the Park
They will need to know numbers by Tuesday 14 Jan, and require a deposit. Perhaps the Treasurer could assist in this matter, to be repaid after the event
Let me know by the Meeting on Monday 13th
For the March long weekend, the rates will be the same, (no 3 day min) but we can have an area close to the entrance, and camp kitchen, where we were last time.
I will need to know numbers attending, by Monday 13th Meeting, so I can confirm a booking on Tuesday morning.
I will be taking a 'mystery tour' route, leaving Catalanos at 8:00am Saturday 1st March
I hope several of you will join me either on the ride, or at the venue.
Cheers
Lefty

Looks like no interest in the Australia Day Weekend at Peaceful Bay.
The 3-Day minimum booking put a few people off I think.
If you want to go down there, make your own arrangements SOON.
They have very limited space left.
Same for the long weekend in March. They want a 3-day minimum booking, at $38 per site, per night.
The Committee is checking some contacts, and we may camp somewhere in the Bridgetown area, calling in to see the Albany Vint/Vet Crew, and join them on a ride to Nannup on Sunday for the Blues Festival
Keep checking this thread for details

I know of a guy who has a property 20k's out of Bridgetown who is happy to let a bunch of BMW's leaking oil all over his back lawn

, Otherwise the camp site for the OCBR is a good alternative?

There is a long drop there , an old wooden pavilion and a river that is good for swimming.
Contact Bridgetown shire for permission , if only a few I would just rock up. I can't think of the name of the road that it is on, but have it at home. Bitumen road all the way to the drive then a couple hundred metres to the campground.
