There is another snail trail ride for novice offroad riders happening on 22/6/14
More details here http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=981341
This ride will be suitable for the big GS's but it is recommended that you have knobby type tyres as it will be slippery in places.

WAS going...... plan was to ride over to Beverly this arvo (sat) and then head in to Mundaring early Sun morn....... weather was crap here this arvo, blowing a gale with showers, so decided to stay home..... and looking at the pics that Howard put on ADVRider probably not a bad idea, I had enough fun picking my GSA up from the mud a few weeks ago....

rode over to Freo and back Thur for a funeral, lots off rain then too!, except out here at Hyden where the farmers are just starting to look to the skies....crops are all up nicely but could do with 20 mm or so.....

Between you parking it in the puddles and me parking on the back guard in the trees, we had a great time, good to see the orange bikes running so well.

Yet another fail for the orange marque, but hey, we got him out of there, what with the Hilly Billy Search and Rescue and Diagnose and Spannering Service on the scene.

Perhaps the W.A. Snail Trail motto should be "We Leave No One Behind"

we had previously drained the bowl etc, he did your trick, except it went under the water.

I reckon the air filter and carby etc was drowned, he quickly tried to restart it,instead of de-drowning it, I think he has hydrauliced it. I diagnose a bent valve or conrod.

Doubt we'll ever know, he didn't have any tools and neither did his riding mate, not even a leatherman. I think that their trail riding consists of trailering the bikes and riding in a close proximity to the vehicles.
