Found these posts a few days ago. Just working out how to use this web site... Newfangled technology! Will have to work out how to post pics too - but not TOO fast.

Thanks to Old Betsy for posting on my behalf. He is a very good chap.

I headed off to the Border for the "Run" end of July. Then to Kalgoorlie and up to Broome. Was on-time to make it comfortably to the "Off-centre" site but ran into tyre problems - the knobs fell off half the rear Pirelli I had fitted in Karratha. No tyres until the following Monday in Broome so I retired to the pub. Travelled across the Gibb River Road to Kununurra. Crossed the Pentecost River just on the turn of high tide. Very interesting crossing! Then to Halls Creek and across the Tanami Desert to the Alice. Then Kings Canyon to Yalara and to Laverton across the Great Central Road. Heard some members were headed to Gascoyne Junction so headed back through Sandstone to get there... Pretty buggered by now so checked into a donger. Caught up with club members - briefly. Next morning got on the DR and rode home to Perth - there by nightfall.

Two bush rides on the DR - 20,000km's clocked up. A good little bike.

This must be a cryptic note. A cypher? Imbedded in the BMWMCCWA Forum? Crickey!
