Gelande Strasse Tiramisu

Post by Bozo »

5 GS's headed off from Catalanos for the Julimar State Forest.

Bill, Lime Brian, 800 David, Drew and Bozo gingerly climbed the Keating Road hill on bone dry ball bearing gravel. A quick blast down Julimar Road and a few twisties in the upper Chittering Valley and we were in the Town of 1,000 motorcycles, Bindoon. It seemed that every Harley, Honda and Kwacka owner had headed to town.

Bill had a pie on his plate before the rest of us could get our sidestands down.

Crest Hill road was alive with Leschenaultia as we headed to Gin Gin. A 4WD towing a massive caravan decided at the last minute to pull across in front of Drew and Bozo giving the twin front discs a warm glow as 350kg of bike an rider went from 110kph to zero in a few seconds.

A quick stop at the Gravity Centre then on to the azure waters of Two Rocks and then home.

A brilliant day for a sweet ride with a topping of gravel...sort of like a Tiramisu. Great company as well.

Very enjoyable ride incorporating some butt tightening dirt into the pleasant scenic jaunt thru the Chittering valley to the pie shop at Bindoon. This made the rather tame ride much more interesting ,raising adrenalin levels and would probably encourage the more hard core dirt riders to join the nice weather Bindoon pie eating posse to also enjoy the ride.
