Anyone interested in mid week rides? Working Fly in/ Fly out I find this time suits me rather than weekend.
Maybe we could have a register and whoever is organising a ride could send out texts a couple of days before.

Why not organise on the forum rather than by text? that way there is a greater potential for participation

Sounds good, mid week suits me best. As per Digger's reply what format suits.
Could have a meeting point somewhere for early breakfast then a ride, or even as a start for an overnight run.

Digger,
It could be for the day or a couple of days. Bitumen or for a dirt road.
It could be organised the day before or locked in place for weeks.
I know it is a wide spectrum, but was more to see who is available during the week days.
I am happy to do dirt or the blacktop.
Could start off a post similar to the Sunday ride?

...funny you should mention that.
I have some unfinished business trying to get to Bimbijy Station (just to see what is there). I have sold the XT600 and bought a near new DR650. I collect the bike on Monday 8 Dec. I was planning on doing a 'shake down' ride to Bimbijy on 16/17 Dec (Swampy, that is a Tues and Wed so christen the R1200GS before you sell it). i expect it is just an overnighter but may be over 3 days.
I have a route in my GPS which uses mostly good unsealed roads to get to Beacon. Most of the road to Bimbijy is gravel.
If anyone is interested in tagging along then post it up here and I'll contact you closer to the 16th.

I hear Chuck Norris has just bought his first DR650. Apparently Arnie and Steven Seagal also own DR's but like Chuck, they're too scared to ride them.

I would love to tag along to Bimbijy Station if ok. Is that on the midland line or the armadale line ?. I have just put a new set of Heidenau tyres on and need to scrub them up in a bit of dirt. Cheers Paul Knight
