just putting it out there....The Albany Vintage & Classic MCC will be camping the long weekend of Feb/Mar at Maranup Ford Caravan Park, Greenbushes (By the Blackwood River)
I am a fringe member within the club, have sent a note to the president "Bob Reeves" regards having an Airhead friendly type gathering, & of course all machines, I don't think our club has anything happening that weekend. Could be the start of something.

Yes Rakad...I stand corrected, "Bob Rees"...Bob would like an idea of numbers from our club that would be attending, they will have a sheep on a spit, its a great central location, encourage people's if they have, to bring their Airheads. Be a great evening or two, with a ride thrown in.

Good detective work there Guy...I should be in town for that one, so I'll put a mark in my diary and also mention to the committee... I am looking forward (to hopefully) meeting up with green R75/6 I sold a few years ago and haven't seen, except on last year's border run (fleetingly at a relative speed of 220 kph!)

John...you were parked when it went past..what a spritely machine...wish I had brought that one, it should be there. I will be working next meet, plenty of time to spread the word, mabe pass the word to your Vintage Club Airhead pal's, to get on down as well.

I have no idea if you will get this message but lets see. Ye I will be in Bridgetown that weekend and will be touring the week before and the week after so that will be a good mid tour event. Any special arrangements, or just 'be" there at the Maranup Ford caravan Park by Saturday 28 th Feb? Where will the bulk of our club members be staying? Got to be where the most noise will be.

Loose Bruce is organising the spit for the Sunday night, so if you want a feed ( limited to 30 ) you need to contact him. Lefty and myself have already booked our meals, now I need to decide if I take the PD and slum it, or take the outfit and use the castle.

Don't give me hard stuff to do : "getting my ugly head over there".... can't help it that I am naturally good looking and in demand from the opposite sex. But no worries , I will be there anyway, with a pillion rider, so please put me down for 2 for the spit braai.
Will be hanging around Bdge Town Saturday and Sunday and split south and eastwards on Monday once the headache clears up.

Gotchya, Jamie, JonO, Herman, its a good head, get's the gal's wet I'm sure, to answer your Q Herman re; planned events, non as far as I'm aware, though with such great countryside around, Sunday should not be too difficult to fill in with a ride here & there, though do be there for Sun eve. Sheep on spit, Lefty banging out a few tunes, ladies & gents swapping stories over drinkies, the Albany crowd are a friendly laid back bunch.
JonO, I can take part in the Sat ride down, when & where from, decide later, if you have an Airhead folks, bring it, "your 65 Cookie" someone contact Hue, I will give Thurston a buzz.
Get the word out quickly, so that Bruce & Kylie can get on with Sunday's tucker arrangements, lets have a good turnout, & a good time.

Cookie will not be out to play in the South west on long weekend:( have a great trip and I look forward to the ride report - pass on my regards to the Albany crew.

There is a swimming hole in the Blackwood river by the caravan park, also a swimming dam in Greenbushes, so bring ya togs if your up for a dip on Sun. Pay your $10 when you get there. I will be heading down about lunch time Sat, where to meet up with other club members ?
