Wes, Karl, Drew, German Paul and Bozo headed out after the smaller than normal breakfast group at Cats for a short ride in the Hills.
The first "lost point" was the Stratton Caltex on Toodyay Road where around 50 aged motorcycles were gathered including a turbo charged Kwacka from the 1970's that was pretty quick away from the lights.
The large group and ourselves headed along Campersic Road with us mixed in with Nortons, Suzuki's and other BMWs.
Fortunately we took a separate course at the top of the Brigadoon Hill and once into the smoke free zone we were able to enjoy the woops and corners as we travelled O'Brian, Clenton and Berry Roads. A short section of Bailup and onto the smooth Burma Road and the twisty Coates Road for a pie at Bakers Hill.
Wes tried to dissuade Paul from buying a 1200 RT without riding one whilst Drew flashed pictures of the new Dakar.
Back home via Inkpen Road and Mundaring Weir with a cold drink at Pauls.
We saw more motorcycles than cars in three and a half hours of riding and half an hour of chin wagging and only a hand full of push bikes .... a good balance.
Great to get out and ride a few corners.
