I'm new.
I'll be going
Ive contacted some bike manufacturers about some free bikes/support mechanics and spare parts. It seems none have been tempted so far by my offer of a 2 minute YouTube video to promote their Brand. All of this seems quite unusual, dont they realise I have seen "Long way Round" 3 times(the first 2 times sober).

I was contacted by a Millwaulkee based manufacturer but I had to tell them I wouldnt be seen dead in their Riding gear which was a cross between Def Lepards lead singer and the moustache sporting tuff guy from the Village people.
The search goes on but Ive got a couple of weeks to pull something off.

You would have more luck if your name was Fleetwood Mac or perhaps Sting, they still carry some power, only the people of Dandaragan care about Spandau Ballet, and in Dandaragan there are steers or queers, so you would fit in.

Ive just Goggled Dandaragan
"The Shire is the pinnacle of the Turquoise Coast, with pristine beaches ideal for swimming, snorkelling, diving, fishing and windsurfing within Jurien Bay and Cervantes whilst the towns of Badgingarra and Dandaragan offer beautiful national parks with native flora and fauna, bush walks, unique Australian wildflowers and farming land."

Actually sounds heaps better than Border Village................Looking forward to the trip, which I'm sure is more about the Ride and the company than the Scenery.
It is encouraging that the good denizens of Dandaragan Shire share my Passion for synthesiser New Wave Romantic Pop Music.

Ive also Googled my Bike and according to various Forums I'm now expecting 2 Final Drive failures, the fuel Gauge strip to peel off and the Clutch to start stinking at Southern Cross "HAPPY TIMES"

Hyden to Norseman road is currently closed (as at 27 July). I am leaving tomorrow (Wednesday) and will contact the Shire around noon for an update. Might end up taking the black top to Kalgoorlie (yuk).

Just got a bike sorted so that I can make the run. Still do not have any wet weather gear but will arrange that in Adelaide tomorrow.

I will be coming from Adelaide via Streaky Bay and have taken Wightman's salubrious accommodation option at the Border.
