It was a cold wet start to Three Springs and the group was undecisive if they should be taking off wet weather gear

By Mullewa things had warmed up

After travelling about 240ks from Mullewa the first stop was the Murchison roadhouse...

Nev, Tom M and Bill had been travelling in a group at this stage with Nev riding at WARP SPEED to get ahead for photo shoots and Bill and Tom riding at a comfortable 80-90 kms

We felt that to get into this camping thing we should break into it gently and the nice soft lawn, hot showers lots of grey nomads to talk to, a near by shop was the better option compared to what the rest of the group wanted... Ride a further 42 Kms up the road to a unknown patch of rocks and set up at about 1600 in the afternoon.

We took our time in the morning after a great nights sleep and departed at about 0900 with the Hare taking off at WARP speed and the 2 tortoises carrying on in their familiar purposeful steady stress free progression on what was a very good dirt road. We arrived at GJ at about 1530 to find the Kennedy Ranges camp group had already made their way there. We decided to wait till the next day to go there and decided to camp at the race course with those that wanted to see the races. We tried to negotiate a reduced entry fee to the races by explaining that we only wanted to stay overnight with our mates and leave in the morning. The gate officials wouldn't have a bar of it. They couldn't understand why we would ride all the way from Perth to GJ and not want to see their horse races

So we set up camp for the night and listened to party noise, screaming females and numerous very loud amplified music systems that probably could also be heard back 15 Km in Gascoyne Junction for the rest of the night and morning. We were out of there as soon as we could the next morning, but not before the KR group turned up and gave us a heads up on the KR camp site. Bozo also turned up.
Bozo joined us for the ride up to the KR and both he and Nev both disappeared at WARP speed up the road leaving myself and Tom to enjoy the roses for the trip up.
Nev has described in his article other aspects of the groups trip fairly accurately to give a combined ride report for the 2 Ts and the H :P

We stayed at a Convent at Northampton following our ride from the KR to Carnarvon and down the coast. We had some dramas getting the bikes into the back quadrangle at the back of the building, we had to negotiate a sandy track and squeeze between a fence and the building but thought it was the safer security option

Near Shark Bay.....
We left next morning and Nev disappeared at WARP + speed off towards Geralton and we couldn't find him when we arrived after travelling the 60 K trip. Tom and myself got back into BMW soft ride option mode and had breaky at the Dome. We managed to contact Nev on his mobile thingy that lets him answer calls while riding. He was well on his way home. Tom and myself had a great ride down the coast checking out some offroad tracks around Greenhead.

We arrived home at about 1500.
Thanks guys for the great company :P

Bill

Nice to have company for the quick trip to the Kennedy Range.

There were more BMW motorcycles on the road than any other vehicle.

Apart from Nev, Bill B and Tom two older BMWs were piloted by Dinga and Guy.

Not all the road was travelled at 'warp speed' with the Delorean duo slowing down for floodways, loose surfaces and the rare oncoming vehicle.

Nev being drawn to the ferro magnetic attraction of the Kennedy Ranges
