Stopping for no go at the Go Cafe

Wes, Graham, GS Bill and Trish, Dinga, Jack, Gabrial, David and Bozo took a squiz at the colourful countryside on the way to Goomalling. A quick deviation through Brigadoon was followed by a slow trip to Toodyay behind a blue van. Once on the Toodyay - Goomalling Road we were able to enjoy the sweeping corners and the purple, green and yellow vistas.
It was no go at the Go Café which was shut despite there being a big footy crowd in Goomalling.
Acting on advice from a frequent traveller to the area, Chuck, we stopped at the Slater Homestead on the Dowerin Road for toasted cheese sandwiches. Jack, Dinga, GS Bill and Trish had left the group earlier and missed on the convivial atmosphere and historical tour. The remaining five took the Meckering Road to Quellington arriving at Bakers Hill via Burgess Siding and Spencers Brook. There were over 50 bikes at the Spencers Brook Tavern from two rides --- the Cruiser Motorcycle Club and the British Motorcycle Club of Australia.
At Bakers Hill we ran into Prof Dist who was on his way back from Kalgoorlie seeing Digger and his mates off on their journey to the Planimetric Centre of Australia. Interesting slogan on Prof Dist's bike ...Adventure before Dementia.
Good to see German Paul back on a motorcycle at the Catalanos' Breakfast and to hear that Snaga will be heading home soon.
