Somewhere near water

A small gathering were discussing a short "Bathurst Friendly" ride at Catalanos today that was somewhere near water to offset the climbing temperature.
Serpentine Dam was the choice for Kim, Karl, Swampy, David, Jack, Colin and Bozo.
The ride started with a loop through the Bickley Valley beginning at Glen Isla Road and then returning on Patterson Road.
Massive numbers of motorcyclists were out dodging the thunderstorms. We only got a few drops of rain as we were leaving Pickering Brook.
We let a large group of Ducati Club riders ahead of us at Jarrahdale and they were already queued for coffee by the time we arrived at the Dam Café.
Slant sixes, slant fours, Mcpherson's struts, Ducati brakes, skiing and sexagenarian birthdays were part of the discussion over cake, a slow cooked pie and coffee.
A quick run down Kingsbury and then home.
Another great ride through the Perth Hills decked in wildflowers.
