ANZAC ride to Fitzgerald NP / Hopetoun / Esperance + PHOTOS

Post by spacey1 »

Another fantastic BMWMCCWA adventure under our belts...

First stop to re-group

Image

There's always a time for a flat tyre training session...

Image

And there's almost always one flat tyre and the obligatory and informative puncture repair training session offered congenially by Jamie and Chris... The flat tyre training in session...

Image

The repair flat tyre... very impressive!

And of course there was that obligatory bent handle bar  And there was that brave rider, Maree, who rode said bike and bent handle bar through rutted gravelly roads to civilization
However, the bravest participant of the weekend would have to be Trish, for her unending trust in Bill's riding skills.

So making our way to Hopetoun at dusk via the dirt and bitumen, there was the sunset, one beautiful scene after another through the Fitzgerald National Park... plus a BMW motorrads of course...

Another sunset, Fitzgerald National Park sans BMW motorrad...

Another sunset, Fitzgerald National Park, just 'cos I like 'em...

Arrived home safely around 5.30 pm. It rained sporadically with showers most of the journey home except for the dirt section from Esperance to Lake King, where the weather managed to maintain its composure.

Another one of our party (RJ on the RT) had a flat tyre, it was reported via the grapevine, but thankfully, rider and bike were in the city and managed to limp home.

Again, many thanks to the Cooke network, who kept the party together, in the absence of our glorious leader. Superb hospitality and friendship shared...

That's it, all photos loaded...

Where to next?
