Lesueur National Park near Jurien Bay

Post by Bozo »

On the way back from the Murchison I dropped into the Lesueur National Park near Jurien Bay.

The first video shows the route on Cockleshell Road from Greenhead - Coorow Road. The gravel road is mostly straight and well formed with views to the coast. The only sketchy bit was where it passed through Cockleshell Gully as the recent rain had washed sand and clay onto the road.

The Park has brilliant views of the flat topped mesa of Mount Lesueur and an excellent one way 18 kilometres of winding bitumen road worth the $6 entry for motorcycles.

Video is at https://youtu.be/NYWiLJIPyZY

Well spotted. I missed that one in real time. Checking the video it is straight into the sun and only on one side of the road.

Despite having trouble with the spelling of the name of this park, I enjoyed riding through it, particularly the section of one way road from Mount Lesueur to Cockleshell Gully. It is a gentle downhill slope with lots of corners. There was a lot of sand and detritus on the road from the recent storm so I had to tip toe through a few corners.

Video is at https://youtu.be/A4C6s1V_Ac0. Kangaroo at 1:00 minute very hard to spot.
