Had my 1,ooo K service on the Honda last Monday and looked forward to a great ride today with Bozo leading 10 bikes off on a jaunt thru the hills. It was rather fresh but exhilirating being out on the road again with some great company.

Stopped at Bakers Hill..........None too soon, Must remember"Don't drink too much coffee before going on a ride in Winter" for a bite to eat and back on the road again a short time later heading back thru W/Loo to O'Brian Road for the twisties.

Being Tail End Charlie I got side tracked when one of the group suffered a slow leak in her rear tire so I followed her and her partner to El Caballo where they decided to abandon the ride and head home.

The rest of the group had continued on so I decided to head them off as they exited O'Brian Road. I reached O'Brian road and used someone's driveway to turn around.

Not a good idea as said Driveway was steep and narrow and I lost my balance and dropped the bike on it's side

There was much wailing and sobbing as I viewed my brand new bike dozing on the road

Being an Old Man I could'nt lift it by myself and made several attempts to flag some good Samaritan down. ................Eventually after a few people in tin tops ignored me and drove on a young lady took pity on me,stopped and assisted me in standing the bike up.

She was most helpful and kind even putting a band aid onto a minor cut to a pinky and I was soon on my way again. (What a Lovely Young Lady)

Rode down to the Caltex at the bottom of Toodyay Rd. for refueling and Bozo rode in a short time later.

He informed me that there had been a Motorcycle accident on O'Brian Rd. with the pillion in not good condition awaiting an ambulance.

I then headed off home without further incident.

Damage to bike: 1 x broken Clutch lever, 1 x broken Gear Lever and scratches to the fairing and body work.

Off to Midland Honda tomorrow for replacement parts but thankful I was not injured in the incident.

My best wishes and thanks to the young lady that stopped and assisted me and my Best Wishes to the unfortunate Pillion involved with the crash further up the road.

Swampster...sorry to hear about your misfortune. Good to hear you are OK. Bikes can easily be fixed.

Also about the other accident. I hope the pillion and rider is OK.

Is that a new new trick for old dogs? Dropping a bike and then waiting for a lass to pass and start waving frantically?

Sir, thank you for your prompt reply and your surreptitous kind offer of a loan of your F800 Training Wheels to assist me in remaining in an upright position on my beloved Black Hawk whilst traversing this magnificent country of ours..

I have thought long and hard over this matter and have somewhat reluctantly decided to humbly decline after considering your magnanimous offer for the following reasons.

Firstly what you may consider as being suitable for an F800 is inconceivable as being even possibly considered as a suitable assist for the magnifcent Black Hawk by any well adjusted person of reasonable faculty and I would surmise any Honda would literally shred the rims off any preambulation in an instant using just a tiny modicum of its rather raw awesome power and the resultant tears from a grown man would be more then I could bare to watch you shed.

Secondly as I understand the situation after reading your rather comprehensive record of, May I say incidents over the last 12 months..................YOUR need is greater then mine and I have no wish to deprive you of your ability of venturing out on the roads without the undoubted welcome and required assistance of said T/Wheels on your long and painful road/track to your recovery.

Thirdly and finally I find it rather unbecoming, uncouth,unkind and unconscionable of you drag and portray the name of the most unfortunate Mr. Cookie Esq. as a possible candidate into the doubtful realms of your tragic club in your erstwhile endeavours to build upon its dubious singular exclusive membership.


As a matter of fact after more considerable in depth contemplation and consideration I am now also withdrawing my previous application for membership in this club and in saying farewell and I wish you considerable luck in your endeavours on reaching and attaining your lost balance and a degree of stability on two wheels in the not to distant future so that you may once again journey on and rejoin the flock of kindred spirits on their road to nowhere and give poor Gill some well deserved and blessed peace at home.

It appears that the dispute with Mr Snaga has necessitated you seeking legal advice given the verbosity and convoluted nature of your response with carefully crafted insults embedded in your narrative.

The Department of Commerce has provided me with the "Rules" of the BMW Ankle and Rib Club (BARC Inc) which clearly delineate membership criteria as:
1. You have to have an offal injury
2. You need to be butchers hook so you can not ride home
3. You need to lose some bark to be a member of BARC Inc

The eight foundation members all seem to have offal names and may all be related to Mr Snaga:
1. Mr Snaga Esq
2. Kay Banosi
3. Frank N Furter
4. Sav Eloy
5. Brad Wurst
6. Po Loney
7. Sal Army
8. Joe Ritzo

My gut feeling is that your membership will be rejected and that the current members will not mince their words in stringing you along. They may try to suspend you to cure you of your interest in BARC Inc.
